Integrations
Nookal Integration
Integrate Nookal with Everbility to streamline your workflow and save time.
Before you begin
Nookal has two APIs: the old API and the new (v3.0) API. Everbility uses the v3.0 API. Everbility will not work with old API keys; it needs a v3.0 API key with the correct permissions.
If you work on your own, you can connect your own Nookal key in Everbility.
If you use Everbility as part of an organisation, your organisation admin can create one shared Nookal connection for the whole team. If you have not set up an organisation yet, start with the Manage an Organisation guide.
Step 1: Generate a Nookal API key
- Sign in to your Nookal account.
- Go to Setup.
- Expand the Connections menu.
- Click API v3.0.
- Click "Create New Client".
Note: If you don't see an API v3.0 option, contact Nookal support to enable it for your account.
Step 2: Configure the Nookal client
Everbility needs a limited set of permissions. Restrict the integration to only what's necessary.
Configure the client as follows:
- Client note: Enter "Everbility" so you can identify it later.
- Basic Key: Copy this key immediately — it's only shown once on this screen. Paste it into Everbility's API key field.
- Locations: Select all available locations.
- Queries: Enable at least:
- Staff
- Clients
- Cases
- Clinical Notes
- Appointments
- Mutations: Enable at least:
- Cases
- Clinical Notes
- Status: Set to "Active".
- Save: Click "Save" to complete setup.
Important: The "Basic Key" is only shown once on this screen. Copy it before saving.
Step 3: Add the key in Everbility
- In Everbility, go to
Manage account. - Click
Integrations. - Open the
Nookalintegration. - Select your Nookal region.
- Paste your Nookal
Basic Keyinto the API key field. - If you are an organisation admin and want your team to use the same connection, turn on
Share with other members of [your organisation]. - Click
Save API Key.
Only organisation admins will see the option to share the key with the rest of the team.
Step 4: Connect other team members to the shared key
If your organisation admin has shared the Nookal key, other team members do not need to create their own Nookal API keys.
Each team member should:
- Go to
Manage accountin Everbility. - Click
Integrations. - Open
Nookal. - Click
Connectin theConnect using organisation keysection.
Once connected, they can use the shared Nookal connection in their own Everbility account.
Appointments
Integrations mean that you can view your upcoming appointments and quickly transcribe and push your clinical notes back to your practice management systems. This is currently available for Nookal and Cliniko.
When you push a report back to Nookal, Everbility can also prompt you to choose the correct case so the document lands in the right place.
